&lt;p&gt;I wanted to prove to my carnivorous friends that vegetarians/vegans can also BBQ great food on an open fire! I marinated my tempeh in BBQ sauce for about 1 hr. and then grilled the tempeh on the barbecue! I tossed it onto some Dave’s killer bread with a tomato from my garden, some spinach, and onions sautéed with fresh thyme and basil in coconut oil! Here is my take (and it tasted epic!) vegan cheese, lots of mushrooms to replace the meat (you can also use tempeh, but mine was frozen and I was feeling lazy)- bell peppers, onions, jalapeños if available, on whole grain hoagie ! &lt;p&gt;Try a vegan home made veggie pizza! (It sounds more difficult than it really is).. All you need is a few things…&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I love using “Wheatless in Seattle” crust. It comes from the vegan Wheatless in Seattle Bakery which also means your supporting local vendors! I also use Daiya “mozzarella” cheese, home made pomodoro, spinach, red onion, zucchini, and Kalamata olives! Delicious!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Even my carnivorous friends loved it :)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Ingredients:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;1 package extra firm organic tofu&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;1 tablespoon tamari soy sauce&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;3 tablespoons “Kona Coast Paradise Pineapple Teriyaki” sauce&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Oil a shallow baking pan (I use Ghee).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Drain and rinse tofu. Press tofu brick to release excess water. Slice tofu brick into 8&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;slices. Place tofu slices in a single layer in baking pan.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Mix sauces and spoon over both sides of the tofu… Coat it evenly allllll around!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Stick those babies in the oven and let them do their magic!! Bake for about 25-30&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;minutes (turning over halfway through)…&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This recipe serves well hot, or cold!&lt;/p&gt;
